View Full Version : Leon CD fault?
My Leon cupra CD unit suddenly 'pauses/stops' for a few seconds occasionally before resuming again. It has done this since new, and I'm not sure if it is just skipping due to bumps etc. and losing disc lock or if it may be faulty. The Sony autochanger in my last car did not do this - any comments please.
mine does this too but only when 'TP' is set on' it's fine when off, it's as if it finds a traffic broadcast but can't quite conect, I'm not sure if it's a fault or not though?
Just to add my two pence worth, mine has never done. Although I have never run TP in the car.

Been ages since my last post!
Mine has also done this from new (January), and Ive done 12,000 miles since then. Very occasionally it goes dead for a second or two before starting up again. Ive noticed in the past that some radio stations seem to trigger TP momentarily - as if someone has leant on a switch in the studio!! Dont know if thats at all true, but its stops me thinking me CD player is faulty!! Hardly ever happens and therefore doesnt bother me too much. I have never noticed the problem without TP on.
My 6 disc changer does occasionally tell me No Disc when I know damn well there is one there!! Only happened a few times, and problem is solved by disc skipping forwards and backwards once.
