Really? So us 2 button owners can easily (though maybe not cheaply!) upgrade to 3 buttons... Hmmmm :)

Re the keyfob - all the third button will do is give a boot release button, i think having the VAG-COM computer change the locking sequence so that when you press the unlock button it unlocks all 4 doors AND the boot is a better proposal - and its free :)

As I muttered on the threads in the past on upgrading the engine management software this all looks very much like the German D-Box threads of eight years ago when German techi people reverse engineered what would be the Sky Digital sat box and published on the web how to build your own programmer and provided the software.... there is something appealing to the German mentality:).

I can't wait till they get on top of the Quadlock headend interface....

Yep it would be cool wouldn't it - I am still annoyed that my Mums Fabia TDI came with the 3 button remote (and nice lights that shine on the floor when the doors are open, and cooled glovebox etc!) and my Altea didn't
