Hi,

I am getting a 2005 model Sport and have noticed that the front passenger seat has softer foam on the side base parts. Whereas on the 2004 model you used to have to lift your leg over the side it now squashes under the weight.

Has anyone else noticed this on their 2005 sport model??

Is this an amendment so we can transport grannies in the sports seat etc? or have they used the wrong foam on my car?

On perhaps a related subject my drivers seat let itself down over a period of time so I started to get backache and moaned about the position... then on Monday I realised the seat had moved. Now the co-driver had been driving it for the last nine days or so as we shared driving, so I'm wondering whether they had pushed the leaver down each time they got in and out. Whether I had... can't think that I would. We had moved the seats forwards on the rail... long legs / short legs thing, perhaps this messed it up. May be lots of vibration on the trip.

Any how the Seat garage said no, it was not a problem when I got my radio changed for the row of dead dots this week. The new Seat headend which is identical BTW seems to work better than the old one, better sound on the Infinity speaker I put in. I think there had been a manufacturing problem in that there was too much pressure on the front screen of the radio... so that's fixed. The screen was also difficult to read after a long journey when it got hot.

As for the seat may be if the side is softer one might hit the seat lowering control more by accident ?. Anybody else had the same problem or are you all far better at getting in and out ?.
