I was reading the other night about liquid leather (www.liquidleather.com) to give my leather steering wheel a bit of a spruce up as it was looking a bit shiney and a bit grubby after 40k miles.
Wasn't entirely sure which product to get, so I rang them - the guy on the phone suggested I gave neat hair shampoo applied with a toothbrush a try instead of buying something.
Just done it, and it worked a treat! Brushed it on, small gentle circular scrubbing action, wiped off with a damp cloth. Couldn't believe how much muck it fetched off, especialy on the grubby stitching.
It's taken the shine away, and given it that matt appearance back - not totally, but the difference is apparent.
And no dandruff either.
