retail price is £55 + VAT couldn't tell u if it's a passat 1 or not coz i don't have etka 4 VW's.

dr dave

i think it's something to do with the boost side of the turbo, it helps measures and control the boost or something like that. not 100% on this but im sure some1 else can enlighten us :)

It says that "058 906 283 C" is a change over valve.

I'll have a hunt more when I get back after work

N75 is a boost bypass controller, it is very similar in operation to a bleed valve, only you dont have any cotrol over how much boost it commands, it recieves a square wave signal that has a variable mark space ratio that is directly controlled by the ecu, you could always run a bleed valve in series with it (i have tried that), but the results are variable and if your already chipped theres not much more power to be had without upgrading the intercooler anyway

I used to be running a C revision of N75, but have now got an F revision of the valve and i find it has very little bottom end power (below 3k) but when the power kicks in it seriously moves!!!(this is in standard, non chipped mode), i prefered the c version overall, but c and f are far better than any of the previous revisions of this valve,

One thing i would say is, resist the urge to fiddle with the adjustor on N75, if you do you can expect it to fail sometime soon, they dont like being adjusted!!

Also known as an AMAL valve I believe. Does the same function.
A solenoid valve which controls boost leakage to wastegate, and hence allows ECU to control (well try) boost pressure.

AH! Got ya now - Sierra Cosworths had this 3 way valve bolted to the top of the intercooler.

AMAL valve.....I wonder why it's called that?

Just don't get the M and N mixed up in the word.....could be embarrasing going into a parts dept asking for an A*al valve :D
