Anyone know who makes Exhausts for the new Ibiza Cupra? I'd really like a nice stainless twin tail back box to give the car a nice meaty roar (but not too loud).

Thanks

I think Miltek are one of the best suppliers so far of systems for the Ibiza Cupra.

Remus may also do something, either of those will be a great system, sporty but not excessive.

For the 2000 cupra? I thought Miltek only currently had the b4 '99 cupra 8v/16v? Correct me if I'm wrong? If so who's the best dealer? Roadrunner?

What about having a powerflow system made. I've got one on my Ibiza 20VT from the cat back and i'm more than impressed with it.

for milltek exhausts, you should indeed contact ROADRUNNER in nottingham - they are the official stockists. miltek do have a stainless steel system (cat back) available for the cupra 20vt.

as well as miltek, you should also consider one from OETTINGER. these are excellent quality products and are available from ROAD AND SPORT DEVELOPMENTS near banbury. www.roadandsport.com (http://www.roadandsport.com)

What is better in terms of Horsepower: removing the Resonator or the Silencer? How about in terms of Noise?

The reason Im asking is because I have a Seat Sport Exhaust which is basically a pipe all the way back from the Catalytic Converter. Its way too noisy and I want to put back at least the Resonator or the Silencer.

I have a Milltek Stainless Steel Cat Back system on mine (ibiza Cupra 20VT) with twin 67mm (fills the cut out) exits.

Performance increase - a couple of bhp maybe.

Noise - inside you'll love it. Outside, unless close to it...its rather quiet.

But it does have its own style of roar...and I didn't want boomy, so this was perfect. It was specially developed by RSD and Milltek. Retails at about £270 I think.

Remus have a back box with twin DTM pipes available. And of course, Powerflow can build you a custom one.

Just to point out Mr X....Oettinger currently DO NOT HAVE A SYSTEM for the Ibiza Cupra. They have one for the Leon (as Zboyd has one) but NOT THE beezer!

Cheers

AmD have developed a power gaining exhaust with Miltek. As opposed to the non-power increasing exhaust developed by RSD.

It's only available thru AmD as well as they did all the hard work

Hi Mark P (again),

Anyway, I know the story with Milltek.

And my view is that the one developed by RSD was based on an Ibiza Cupra with the Oettinger chip (which produced 195bhp straight outta box).

AmD obviously couldn't get 195bhp from their chip alone (I'm not starting an arguement here, just my view ok) so they've gone and not really re-worked the RSD design, but produce (i think) a new front down pipe before the cat, so that they can get closer to the 195bhp package they are flogging.

I like my system, and I know my car is pretty fast. If people want that extra couple of bhp and a Milltek exhaust, by all means go with AmD.

But with the Oettinger chip, the RSD designed system works, and I'm happy with it.

i have seen first hand a graph from daves car before ANY other mods producing 195 so i can't see that.

speak to Scott @ AmD, i'm sure he'd love to sue your ass for claiming they reworked a back box design.

Mark,

No need to get nasty pal. Fair enough, if you've seen 195 with just the chip, then thats 195bhp.

So I take it AmD has has developed a totally new system with Milltek for the Ibiza???

OK, since you are rather friendly with Scott@AmD, can you tell me what the differences are (between theirs and the non-power version of RSD's) and how much extra bhp should this "new" AmD version produce?

So how much bhp is Daves car now running???

cheers
