View Full Version : Lazy seat design dept ! :)
Wanting to store a bit of paper in the car i flipped down the sunvisor and thought i'd use the paper clip/strap up there, but nope - not present.....
.....fold down the passenger visor..... A-Haa! its there !
Lazy so-and-so's forgot to re-tool the visors for RHD cars...
.....just like the programming of the wipers which are setup for LHD too
Grrr :)
My old mk2 Ibiza had the same, even though it wasn't an import and the RHD ones WERE the opposite to the LHD... weird! Funny one-off cars!
It may just be yours, check at the dealer for another one.
See your finding the little niggles now Steve but it's not all bad news.
I was going to use the under seat compartment to store a box of Belgium chocolates until the partner said they melt under the heat from the bum. So that ones out on the underseat compartment;).
i'm wondering if the under seat storage will be an ideal Pie Oven, - pop a Ginsters in the cubby hole, switch on the heated seats to Gas Mark 5, drive to destination, open the compartments and enjoy a lovely warm pie. :)
Not much use in these summer months though :)
Found another example of LHD vs RHD - the microphone on the built in car kit is geared up to sit on the passenger side of the headlining console.
There is a snap-out plastic cover for a RHD microphone, however the LHD microphone case is keyed onto to fit into the LHD slot.
Has anyone with access to a parts CD see if there is a RHD microphone available?
PS - is anyone on here willing to copy me a parts CD ? In exchange for an appropriate amount of beer tokens of course - or has anyone got an ebay link to a vendor of such disks?
Ta

My drivers sunvisor has the strap for cards etc. so I'm a bit puzzled as to why you haven't unless it's one of these year changes thing again.
I noticed that also as soon as I got mine that the left wiper leaves an edge trail on its up stroke which interferes with your line of sight, most annoying :thumbd:
Thanks Aceman - i'll ask the dealer to see what should have been fitted on the sunvisor front - here's a pic to show i'm not really mad and the visors are the wrong way round ! :)
Pedro has been upto his tricks again and delving into the LHD parts bin. Not an uncommon thing with these SEAT cars though but annoying non the less.
