Just beware of emails like this from webmaster@seatcupra.net, or any other SCN email, they are bogus snd the attachments are most likely viri.

We won't ever ask you to update any profile info. I know most of you are clued up, but i wanted to warn you anyway to beware.

see below example sent to me.


Dear user zboyd,

It has come to our attention that your Seatcupra User Profile ( x ) records are out of date. For further details see the attached document.

Thank you for using Seatcupra!

They've even made it sound like you and everything. It would have been perfect if they'd added "you retard" to the end, though. :D

Could well be a certain recently disgruntled ex member getting revenge..
One who posted about wanting to complain..;)

M0rk I'm sure you will have his ISP so be able to report him..
what will he get these days...for sending malicious emails?

they're all just hoax ones, so yes, I have the IP address of the mail server, and the computer it was sent from - but neither are deliberate - it'll just be another unwitting PC user somewhere in the world

I have had exactly the same email message, supposedly from my ISP. I replied to it but not from outlook express but from the webmail site of the ISP. My virus checker flagged up a virus in the attachment, a trojan virus in fact so at that stage I knew it was bogus.
