Hi there,
I own a 2001 1.6 Leon (1598 cc, new model), and I'm looking for some extra fun, so I took a look at the local chip suppliers and I found two options:
Giwasa and Upsolute
The first one is sold and fitted by an established dealer, costs about 500 EUR, and promisses 15 bhp and 15% torque increases.
The second is sold and fitted by the JUST established first Upsolute dealer in Portugal, costs 365 EUR and promisses 10bhp and 15nm increases (Upsolute Customer & Sales Dpt information).
I'm looking for better (faster) throttle response in low rev, and a little bit better "breathing" in high rev (>5000rpm). Passing by 5500rpm the engine seems to be choking. This is nothing like the Rover 1400 K series 103bhp I used to drive - this one reved happily until the red line.
Does any of you guys have any interesting ideias on the subject? If you do, please share.
Thanks a lot
Cheers
PS: You guys get all the fun...buying 180bhp for the same price as other people buy 105bhp, winning Argentina, having a Royal family...not fair! :-)
