all of you out there with Ibiza Cupra 20vt
Im looking to uprate the suspension and also get the spacers (thanks to bill) as will be using stock wheels/ tyres.
will this present a problem with rubbing (corner, full car)
What suspensions kits do you recommend ?
i was looking at eibach springs and either koni/bilstein dampers. anybody have this set up what is it like ?
What prices do you expect to pay for this setup ?
comments welcome

I've been looking at the Eibach/Koni set-up and I recon you'll be looking at about £550 + fitting, possibly a little more dependent on supplier. Star Performance seem one of the best at the moment 01592 770377. Koni also do a sport kit for about £450, again good reports. Bilstein tend to give a firmer ride than Koni.

My only comment re this combo, is that is what's on Jabbasports Ibiza, and its handling is not very good at all, remaining as figidity as before. I am sure they have Koni/Eibachs on it.
They much preferred my PSS9 ride on my own Ibiza.
Could be down to settings of dampers etc of course.

Have they actually fitted the Koni damper now then, they only had Eibach springs/standard dampers when I saw it a couple of months back.

You have the jabbachip as i have seen in other links
what is it like ?
have you uprated your brakes ?
What suspension do you have at present ?
I should be getting my jabbachip in a couple of months. just wanting to upgrade brakes and suspension first. is it recommended ?

The chip is excellent, best value mod you can get. Loads more grunt and no fuel economy loss under normal driving. I had the boost spike removed on mine and the throttle sensitivity damped to try and stop jerkyness on bumpy roads, much smoother now. Mike T is ace bloke, can set it up how you want.
Brake and suspension are still standard unfortunately, although both are being looked at. Pagid pads are a cert., maybe discs to follow. Undecided on suspension, but the Koni Sport kit is still top of the list, considering Koni height adjustable, but dont really know if it's worth the extra for my needs.
I'd go for the chip first and see how you go on, possible a set of Pagid pads as there only about £35-40.

Thanks for the wayne
My car is booked in for the jabba treatment next month (cant wait)
You said that " had the boost spike removed on mine and the throttle sensitivity damped to try and stop jerkyness on bumpy roads, much smoother now " . was this done on the day or did you go back after the car had been remapped ?
Reason behind this i will be travelling 3 hours and want to get it right on the day.
in after a progressive acceleration through the revs (no spike or boost) - also more control as you say over bummpy roads - so throttle sensivety may be an option (how does this work ?)
Have you the standard exhaust ? if so is this ok ?
I am getting the pagid fast road pads fitted soon to get them run in and im awaiting wheel spacers (thanks to bill), once had the remap will see how much difference there is and work on the suspension

Mike
All these changes were done as part of thr remap. If you speak to Mike T before he starts, he will go through all the options. You road test the car before you go to see if you're happy, so any minor changes should be accomodated. He's probobly got a couple of variations now anyway after doing a few, so he should have a good starting block to work from.
They are a very friendly bunch, so don't be apprehensive about asking questions and telling Mike what you want, after all it's your car.
