I didn't realise that they did a 20VT back in '93.

Bill, Would this help the surging?

The 20Vt in its original form dates back to 1991.

20Valve Turbo butr a very different configuration to get 20 valves.

5cylinders and 4 valves per cylinder back then. (2200cc or 2300cc)
That is what the article shows and the pictures relate to.

Today, as you know, we have 1.8ltr, 4 cylinder, 5 valve per cylinder engines, called the 1.8T-20VT.

The control systems back ont he 5cylinder engines were no where near as complex/sofisticated as the current 20VT motors.

very interesting...

Even though our new 'more sophisticated' systems are better than the Audi's mentioned...I wonder if gains could be made to our cars too??

Back to RSD in a week or two to get the surging cured - that's if they are there this time :-(

I would be interested to see what they adjust to cure (hopefully) your surging.
