Using Firefox 1.0.4 on RedHat Enterprise Linux 4.1.

Yesterday, I turned off images, to make the display more "work friendly". That was fine - images disappeared, alternative text/links appeared in their place as expected.

But now I've turned images back on, the alternative text/links have disappeared...but still no graphics. Which is a problem as now I can see any of the Post/Reply buttons etc !!

Graphics have re-appeared in Gmail etc.

I've emptied the cache, removed all cookies etc but I just can't get images to display again.

Any ideas ?

You have tried a ctrl and F5 have you to force a total refresh? My firefox is very buggy for caching things even when the cache is supposedly empty.

I didn't know about Ctrl-F5... But I tried it to no avail...

Any more ideas ?

Well I got round the problem:

rm -f ~/.mozilla/firefox

i.e. deleted my complete firefox settings directory, so it recreated a default set. Sorted now.
