i dont think u should be made to put up contact details for all/anyone to see as i dont really want to put up address phone no etc if interested ppl can contact u through this ie pm!
email ??????????????????????????????
newbies & non members can't PM people
and I got fed up with emails saying 'can you forward this email to....'
if you don't want to put your email address up, nobody is forcing you. But your advert will never be approved.
Basically because we don't want you relying on our system to sell your cars, or accessories. PM is a service of the forum, but not something we gaurantee.
We also don't want a thread full of people chatting about your sale, whihc eventually loses the track of the purpose of the thread.
Also if someone was masquerading as a trader or selling something they shouldn't, the forum has no comebacks, you should always use your own contact details.
As Saul says email address, you don't have to post your phone number if you don't want to. But don't rely on the PM system.
We're not here to sell your car for you, thats your reponsibility.

well if they cant pm its just tuff luck like when i wasnt a member at first! they will just have tp get their post count up ! dont like giving out email on forums either get enough junk mail as it is i was just asking if u could post without details just prices ! and i know u cant reply that just makes sense! oh and that post took me a whole 5 mins to write if u dont put it on thats 5 mins of my holidays stolen ! lol :D oh unless u can show me how to put up my email as a link and not the full address cos dont know how to? if u could do that for me would be great !
You’d put your number on Autotrader or in the local paper if you were selling something so why not here.

You could set up a new Hotmail address in 5 mins just for the sale

yeah that just seems longwinded tho but good idea! but u dont have to do any of that on ebay until uve made the sale!
Well if you don't want to abide by the rules of the forum, you won't be selling anything on here!
They're not going to change the rules just because you don't like them!

Yup but then this is a specific Seat audience your selling to, you don't get that on Ebay
all the adverts I approve DO have email addresses in.
this isn't ebay either. but does have a bigger more accurate audience.

sweet jesus tom relax, youre getting very serious in your old age!
take a leaf out of morks book and just let it wash over (then add a hint of sarcasmic sauce!) :cheeky:
Brendy, I prefer Worcetershire (try saying that when you're drunk!) Sauce myself !! ;)
I have a funny way of showing I'm actually messing about!
Sarcasmic sauce sounds nice though...does it taste good with bacon?
