Good evening all,
Smudger 'new boy' to the forum here, got a question for all Cupra R owners out there...
Anyone of you had problems with noisy brakes???started when pressing on brake's lightly in rev, but sometimes in forward motion also...car only done 900 miles..am worried..Seat say common prob..it's loud!!!makes me feel a right tw$t when pulling up!!! :confused: Help!!!

Apparently it's common with the LCR brakes although mine doesn't appear to do it, I believe it the pads moving inside the caliper, hope that helps.

Probably bad in reverse too?

Yep they do squeal, when you put replacement pads in put plenty of copper grease on the back of the pads... ;)

Thanks..thought that was the case...Seat say the noise will go in time..don't want to start chopping and changing stuff, as it should be good enough as it is!!!???

Once again thanks, have stuck another post on asking same thing, not that I don't trust you judgement may I add!!!!!
Just find it hard to believe my new superb, shiney black car sounds like a squealing horse having it's nads cut off every time I pull up outside my house!!!

what year is vehicle. on some leons and ibiza u get a slight huming noise when going slow more in reverse there,s modified handbrake brackets with dampers on. fitted free if vehicle is in warrantty

interesting..it's 05, only got it end of June!!!!
