For anyone here contemplating a chip change etc... I can very much reccommend RSD having seen their attention to detail today, when they were converting my new beezer.
Oettinger chip installed and adapted to read my driving (yep fly by wire has to learn the way you drive to first configure itself). Inlet pipe on stock motor is squashed down to clear a coolant pipe, which is easily bent slightly out of the way to allow the RSD larger full bore version. Side by side its a no brainer of whcih will flow more air.
Danny was an oracle on all things ECu and turbo, and VAG can't stop playing with their ECU's many many versions and also variant of turbos too... Mindfield if you don't know. Thankfully Danny does.

Drove my baby for the first time.. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif goes well even though I was driving slowly(ish) setting the throttle parameters with Danny along side with his 1552.

Also drove RSD's 235 Golf demonstrator with a K04 turbo. Nice piece of kit. For a lardie big old car it shifted along deceptively quickly... Loss of concentration will result of loss of licence.. Quick.
K04 in the beezer would be nice http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif

Roll on 1st Sept.
yee haa!

I did'nt drive it std...
Its not strictly registered yet !!
On the others I drove (demonstrators) the chipped beezer was a lot faster than the stock one.... but friendly with it. Licence losing stuff me thinks.
the chipped beezer silenced my wife instantly when I put my foot down...... she thought the std one was fast enough !!!
not long now. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif

the inlet elbow on the turbo is a crappy thing from the factory... Its very squashed down form round, so as to be nasty for airflow. The RSD version is full large bore.. Gotta be a good thing. Its got to suck through that hole.

I can't believe the hose collapses....under suction? beween MAF/airbox and turbo inlet?
another solution, if in fact the hose does collapse would be to wire coil the hose inner.

Has anyone seen the phenomenon?

Its certainly a problem on TT's and S3's. The early designs were not riged enough. On a chipped car it has led to power loss high up the rev range.

What is the path of the induction pipe to the turbo like? I ask this as I saw a Passat with a horrible double back bend in it, which almost made the pipe look kinked/collapsed anyway. Weird, as the path looked to be easily covered with a couple of more open, less restrictive bends.

The beezer looked OK for pipe and bends, inlet elbow aside.

Nice one Bill. Danny did my Forge DV a few weeks ago in 10 minutes flat, mind you he spent half of that time muttering swear words about Tony under his breath! Have you had any other enhancements, brakes, wheels etc? Where did you buy the car? I saw three Ibiza Cupras at Listers in Cov this morning getting ready to roll and four Leon Cupras!

Cheers ......... Simon.

I have had the brakes, exhaust, inlet pipe, chip modded as part of their 210 kit. Amethyst, the supplying dealer will also fit a front top strut brace also.
Pick it up Saturday http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif

Looking forward to it.
