Hi guys, i`m currently getting bits together for my ihi setup. i`m looking to run about 300 bhp. i`ve got a 4 bar fpr to fit and some rc racing 440cc injectors. for 300bhp, will this be sufficient to use with the standard fuel pump?
regards, ollie

NO... ihi needs an S3 fuel pump(same as LCR i think), thats what jabba use anyhow, dont think it's modded, mad/bill will know

For 300 Hp a 3 bar pressure reg should be sufficient with 440 injectors.

nice 1!! i don`t suppose anybody has the part number for either the s3 maf, or the vr6 maf that jabbasport use?

just spoke to jabba and the chap says that for 300hp, i`ll be ok with the 4 bar fpr and the 440cc injectors on the standard fuel pump. That`ll do me then!! just got my plumbing and downpipe to get sorted then i`ll be owf to jabba for me remap!

Just curious if you only want 300bhp why not go for a smaller thurbo than the IHI to reduce lag

like what mate?
i was looking at e05 but i`ve heard there unreliable, with k04 i`d still need to get manifold etc, so it`d probabilly still cost as much.
i managed to get the ihi turbo and 440cc injectors really cheap. i modified the ihi myself so it`d fit and i`m making my own adapter plate to go onto the standard manifold

A&M motor sport are developing the AM04 results should be up with in a week or 2. see the AM section. should be good for 290bhp with a lot less lag than an IHI. if you do go I IHI id go for a bit more power.

Ah I see you already have the turbo

i`d love to go for a bit more power mate but my little love chariot  has done 98k now.
i don`t want to blow me gearbox or knacker me clutch up with running to much opwer through it.
oh, i`m also using the standard manifold and intercooler so i`ll be restricted to 300bhp really.
hmmmm, what gearbox options have i got really if it did bugger up? :(

dunno to be honest. I know bill has been having a few box problems. maybe hes sorted them by now though?

Gearbox/clutch problems are part luck/part how its used. Who's mapping it. What about maf tube size/scaling of maf?. I aint 100% sure the S3 fuel pump is up to the job either with age/mileage even that may cause problems.

You're going to run it on standard intercooler? Hmmm

at 300bhp itll be low boost so shouldnt be too bad

yer i had a good chat with james from jabba and he said the standard intercooler will be fine. the gear box is the only real thing concerning me now.

on your ibizas is it a single side mount like my golf?

not that you exactly need it.its either that or have the original tweeked. just my preferance would be the s4 maf

OllieC

and somebody said you ran on this small one? is that true and what power were you running through that?

also what maf would you reccomend mate, jabba said the old vr6 maf would be ok?

LCR mat

if jabba say so its wright. like bill said its all down to scaling- you just have to adjust that

OllieC

and thats what jabba will do when on the rolling road.

just to badger or any other ihi`er, did it sound alot different when you got the ihi installed??

just don't outbid me for the one on ebay, or I will hunt you down and steal your children. :roflmao:

(I want it, and cheap, as I'm suspicious of the current one in my S4).

Is it not a S3 air mass you use bosch No.0280218065? or VR6 for early managments part No.0280217512 I've got a conntact for these brand new.
