Just to say that a colleague of mine got a message the other day which is now in the motoring press that 98-99 Lupos are being recalled for dodgy brakelines which can split...expect the Arosa's would be affected too so a trip to your local dealer may be in order if your car falls into this year bracket.

On the plus side I guess you get new brake fluid & it all bled etc etc

Its Polo's and Lupo's, made in 1998/99, and its not a dodgy brakeline, its because there maybe losses in the low-pressure conduct that goes to the Servo brakes. It isn't dangerous, it just requires extra pressure on the brakes. The modifications can be done in under and hour and are free to all drivers.

They haven't mentioned Arosa's.

Also note that VW *will not* contact you about this, as its not seen as a "safety" issue.
You will have to contact them, and they will carry out the work for free.
