Seeing as the pricing for the 'lower' end models looks to be much stiffer this time around - how much do you think SEAT will price the Cupra at?

Remember the Leon 2.0 TDI Sport DSG comes in at a blistering £17,295 :-o

That means the FR is probably more expensive, and the Cupra pricing has to be beyond that..

I remember buying my car because it was such good value for money, it seems to me that to shift to the new Cupra is going to cost me as much as I paid again (at least) on top of the PX for my car...

For the 'LCR' challenged:

New Leon Cupra = New Leon Cupra R

I don't see it breaking the 20K barrier. More in line with the astra VXR. 18500-19000 I rekon. Don't forget you are going to be getting more power than the std. R.

Engine is not confirmed yet, and could possibly be the same engine as the new R32 - maybe with 4WD?

Of course, all we can do is speculate, which some people may see as pointless. But by talking about it I find it makes the wait for it a bit easier.

I prefer a turbo-d 2.0 litre with 4wd ;)

so which would you buy...

2.0T remappable to 240bhp with 2WD
or
2.8/3.2 6 potter N/a with less torque & not remappable (to be worthwhile) but 4wd?

I don't think a revvy N/a engine fits in well with the range - so I doubt it'll be that

More like 2.0T remappable to 280+ surely?

No, I don't see they're being a V6 in the range either - but some small part of me wants to believe in a 4wd leon for this country this time round. And whilst they're at it make the diff user selectable :) I know it's be done to death but had they brought in that 20VT 4WD leon from europe last time they would of sold in droves - the arguement against it was that they wouldn't make the sales for such a 'specialist' car but look how many LCRs they sold!

So 18k for the FR (+700quid for DSG?) and 19k for the Cupra(again plus for DSG)?
