Intake pipe for both the Ibiza Cupra and Leon 20VT models are about £200-£250 + VAT (last time i checked....they normally sell the intake pipe as part of te 210 package)
this is a solid piece of tubular steel....with a constant diameter all the way thru so that it is not restricted like the standard intake pipe.
However, if you are considering doing a chip
and pipe upgrade....i advise you take the 210 package.....as you would save about £100.
I will check for you guys.

PS: Come on Rich....RSD tell me you haven't booked your car in there yet!!! hehehe

210 is how much and has what with it? and how long does it take to do?

£1295 + VAt for the whole 210 package (it might be less, but thats just a ball park figure).
You get:
Oettinger Chip
Forge Motorsport Dumper
Milltek Stainless Steel Cat Back Eshaust
Bigger Tubular Steel turbo intake pipe.
Replacement of your Seat warranty should your dealer not fix something due to your engine mods.
The price might be closer to £1200 + VAT now...if you buy a Brake upgrade aswell...i'm sure they'll give you a good deal!!!
Give them a buzz on 01295 750651. They won't bite. Just say Lee gave you the prices.

Bill,
did they give you the brake upgrade for NOWT then?????
I'm gonna have words with them......
Anyway, the other chap.
If you want a demo.....get yourself down to Castle Combe race track on the 13th October...and i'll take you for a spin in mine!!!

I have been mailing RSD and have had replies!!!
For my Leon,
Chip, valve and intake pipe for around 1000 +vat. Sounds good doesn't it! Thinking about an exhaust but don't want it all to be too obvious for insurance reasons...plus, the gains for hte money is nowhere near as good as the cip/valve/pipe.
Rich (checking diary Lee!!!)

The conversion is via Amethyst bundled in with the purchase price of the new car. Not the std price of thecar though before you shout...
I may well have got a better deal by dealing with RSD directly trade to trade and not as a Amethyst Package.

Anybody had the '215' conversion that is featured on the oettinger website?
It includes an oettinger turbocharger,re-map, modified intake track and optimised intercooler cooling!
They are claiming a 0-62 mph of 6.3 secs with this conversion. (That'll frighten them little plastic va va voom 172's!!!)
Does the 210 conversion offered by RSD compare to this??
I know chipping improves a lot more than the sprint to 60, but the 0-60 time is the most common speel talked about down the pub!!

The 215bhp conversion involving a new turbo is almost certainly NOT for the ibiza.....cos with a new turbo, it'll produce close to 240bhp instead!!!
You sure you're looking at the right page...i haven't checked Oettinger's website for a while!!
BUT...RSD's 210 conversions involves a chip change that gives 195bhp....and Intake pipe adding an extra 10bhp....uprated dumper...and exhaust...and its about 210bhp.
NO NEW TURBO INVOLVED WITH THIS UPGRADE!.
0-60.....RSD reckon 6.1secs...Tony has done it once....i've done plenty of mid 6's....but i'm running on 17's...and i'm crap at 0-60's. WE KNOW FOR A FACT IT'LL DO SUB 6.5 EASY WITH A PERFECT GETAWAY!!!!

Why go for the RSD chip, and not SJB one? Whats the differnce?

SJB SPORT will use (last time i spoke to JB anyway!) an AmD chip (Automotive Developments).
SJB will NOT BE USING THE OETTINGER CHIP ON THEIR CONVERSIONS....that i can say for certain.
Its entirely up to you which option you go for....i don't know too much about the SJB option (go to his website at www.sjbsport.co.uk (http://www.sjbsport.co.uk) for more info.
I can only talk about the RSD option, cos thats what i've got.
I'm not sure what kind of warranty they offer...but they are a little cheaper than the RSD route. They are both good options....but i'm a little biased so thats all i'll say!!!!
Best to do a test drive from both companies with a modded motor...then you can find out which one you want. There's not a lot innit...but hey, you pay for what you get is what i say!!!!
------------------
Thanks. I've heard loads of good stuff about RSD, but I could save around £200 if I get it done at SJB. I think I'll go for the RSD, but just wanted 2 know if anyone had SJB.

my next 20VT will have AMD via SJB, or POSSIBLY Jabba SPort remap direct. Oettinger is a nice conversion, but a lot of money. i feel AMD is better value for money, but you takes yer money etc...AMD has more torque all thru' the rev range also...

be wary of the jabbasport chip - so i have been told!!

AMD and torque, one of my favorite subjects !!.
AMD's Rolling Road is very optimistic to say the least. I could go on with some illustrations of the fact. I would doubt their chip has anymore power than Oettinger.
In fact it could be the other way.
The only real way to compare chip (and even this is open to debate) is to have a session with various cars on a Rolling Road. Ive done this before on TT's and S3's. Some pub talk torque figures quickly dispeld.

so is the oettinger Chip worth £300 more than the AMD Chip??
SJB want £450 + VAT (not inc Dump Valve)
RSD want £799 + VAT (inc Dump Valve)
Is it that much better?

Yeah, i think their RR MAY be optimistic, although if you look at their figures for a stock 20VT i think they quoted 158bhp and 173 lbs ft torque, compared to manufacturer's quote of 156bhp and 155 lbs ft, so it's not a long way off. whatever, it's still a good improvement i think even if it isn't the same as the Oettinger. i don't think it's too important about the absolutel power/torque that they put out, both are a very useful increase in power/torque and will sure be felt on the road. in my opinion the extra cost of the Oettinger is not worth the cash, although it does come with the warranty. mind you, in my experience of two SEATs i've NEVER had anything go wrong in 4 years of motoring with them...
not sure the negative opinions of Jabba, but then again i don't know them as well as RSD and AMD. i'll prob end up going for AMD anyway, esp. if it's now 450 instead of 500 sterling????

C.Grex....
One word....YES!
But hey, thats just my OWN opinion....but a few peeps have got Oettinger Chipped 20VT's in here now...not sure how many AmD ones are in here though......
If you really are worried about the cost issue...then go for the SJB option.
Solves everything.....
Now go get it chipped!!!
