Have a look in For Sale section for 2nd hand ones.I'm sure mk2 & mk3 cupra discs & calipers are the same(looking at my sons mk3 & wifes mk2).As for fitting its easy if you have the correct tools & bleed the brakes correctly. If buying brand new try GSF or Euro car parts at Trafford Park.

Only difference between the 8V and then 16V/1.8T is the front's. On they 8V they are 256mm, on the 16V/1.8T there 280mm, and a further difference is on the Mk3 there red from the factory.

Wheras I'd like to do it myself, I don't want to feck up my brakes. I'd source the parts myself, it's just the fitting that bothers me.

Honest Luke its an easy job if you have basic mechanical skills.Once the wheel is off it's 2 bolts to take the caliper off,1 screw to take the disc off & 1 hydraulic pipe.Bleeding can be done on your own with a one man bleed kit.

Do the calipers not need calibrating with pads etc or does it simply bolt together?

Pads slot straight in(may need to wind piston in clockwise),they just need "bedding" in after fitment
