I am in the same situation. My car was delivered to another dealer before it was delivered to my dealer. While there it seems they swopped my sat nav unit for a faulty unit.
The unit has not worked for the 6 weeks that I have had the car, and a new unit is on order. I bloody hope the dealer can fit it as I am not sending my car back to Spain ortherwise I will demand a new car:mad:

Hi Folks
To completely remove the sat nav unit would be a mjor issue as it includes all the links to the onboard speed sensors (part and parcel of the Trip Computer I believe) as well as the GPS unit (part of the arial, which is rather different to the standard one) The actual dash unit as far as I know is a plug in jobbie so even a Seat Dealership should manage (apologies to the few good ones out there) to fit a replacement unit without sendng it back to the factory!
Of course the unit is bu**er all use to anyone without the ancillaries as mentioned above and anyone ordering them from VAG you'ld think would raise some suspicions!
In fact getting anything to do with the Sat Nav unit is a major pain, even details of the model number/name etc (Blaupunkt make it for the OEM market only, the same model is fitted to GOLF IV's as an option) are shrouded in mystery.
Not that I know for sure because I don't have one yet!, if the unit needs a key entered to initialise it then they'd need that too!
well , the friendly dealer was from epsom , he managed to track down an unregistered Seat toledo V5 in black just as i ordered, so im getting that next wednesday ! hehehe ! wonderful how cars appear when you get a little angry :)
cheers

Hi All,
My local Dealer had a satnav HU removed by some "bar steward" whilst it was standing in their storage enclosure.
The "Twocker" pulled the unit clear of the dash, and cut the wires that are part of the main loom.
Therefore this car had to be returned to SEAT, so this might be the reason for return in this case.
