Hi there guys,
just wandering if anyone else has had there 50k service on there car yet and got quotes from there seat dealer? mine is due in september so thought I would do the deed of ringing my local seat dealers for quotes, must say they do vary from dealer to dealer so worth shopping around.
Anyway rang up for a quote which I was told would be for a annual service which would be 120.00 quid there abouts, rang another dealer for 50k service prices and she quoted 81.88 but no mention of a annual service price like the other dealer... mmmmmm.
So on this I decided to investigate as I was quoted different prices and for different service options i;e annual service & 50k 120.00 & 81.88 respectively.
spoke to the first dealer to question the differnces & spoke to a technician and on further questioning asked him what they do for the annual service & for the 50k service which to me appears to be the same thing i;e oil & filter change and various checks i;e battery connections, discs, service light etc.
seems to me like this is a way of seat making a few extra quid for apparently the same service (well 50k service anyway as a basic service)?
anyone come across this?, if not maybe something to look out for when servicing.
/quote/they dont call them stealers for nothing you know....../unquote/

If you reach the mileage it is usually just the lubrication service at about 0.5 labour but if you reach the year before the 10k mileage interval it is usually an annual service at about 1.3hrs labour. Parts etc the same for both.

I have not quite hit the 10k yet but from what the dealer told me on the 50k service you get the oil & filter change & the other checks also, basicaly the same as the annual service but cheaper, they also said I can have the 50k service even though I have not done 10k mileage.
