im after a boost gauge (ideally white background with red leds)

im wondering where and how much these can be obtained from ?

im having my car remapped by jabba next month (ibiza cupra 20 vt) and want to see the difference as also getting adjustable boost.

Heard that some boost gauges show negative boost and this is used on the ibiza cupra.

what is this ?

Many thanks

I think it's just because they can produce it - so why not show it

It is how all engines work...

A non-turbo car draws a vacuum through the induction system by the sucking action of the pistons, not in ignition, on their inlet stroke. This is how the air+fuel mix enters the engine.

By the same method a turbo car has the same vacuum when the turbocharger is NOT generating boost into the induction system, thus the "negative boost" you refer to. The fuel air mix on the turbo car is "forced induction" On the turbo car this is merely an indication that your foot is off the power.

As far as I know there is no worthy reading needed from this vacuum or "negative boost" figure but it does make a more funky gauge. Correct me if I'm wrong on that one.
