i thought i'd sorted my cd player,but alas no its playing up again.it just goes through each cd in the cartridge and every now and then it shows"surface on the screen .the manual says this is due to cd incorrectly inserted or distorted data transfer,this means the cd's are upside down,well i've just been and checked and all the cd's are facing with the label facing down as this is the correct way.
so what is distorted data transfer??i used a cd lense cleaning disc and this sorted it for about a week .
any ideas as im off on holiday on friday and the thought of listening to me daughters tapes all the way to the south coast is gonna drive me mental.:cheers:
