View Full Version : Urgent help with CK3100 and 6230i

I currently have the dash out of my LCR and am installing the above kit.

I'm having problems....

The 6230i will pair OK with the CK3100, but for some reason, I cannot dial a number entered via the kit display (I can enter the numbers), it just bleeps a few times with the little bar scrolling across the screen. The display call and disconnect buttons also seem not to respond (though they do when scanning the menus).

I can receive an incoming call, but again cannot accept it via the display buttons. Again the display call and disconnect buttons don't seem to respond.

I've noticed that no contacts have been copied across to the CK3100. Also there's a pair of 'circling arrows' on the display. There's no mention of this in the booklet - does it mean that the CK3100 is trying to copy across the 'phone contacts? If so, how long does this take?

Am I doing something wrong?

Please someone respond to this; the daylight is all but gone and I still have a gutted interior.

TIA.

I have the same phone and kit combo as you and it has been perfect (I haven't had the patience to try to pluck a number out using the know though). I read somewhere that thr latest firmware caused problem with the 6230i so I stuck with the earlier version my kit had been flashed with when I got it. I don't remember the number but 3.54 sounds familiar. Could be making that up though.

Whatever I expect firmware will fix it.

Thanks for replying Fen.

After trawling the internet it appears that the latest firmware version 4.11 (which I have) results in the 6230i going into endless syncronisation. The upshot is that the CK3100 will not function from the display keys as it's preoccupied. I've managed to overcome this by deleting all but 4 contacts on the 'phone :thumbd: . Hardly practical, but the CK3100 then seems to complete syncronisation and function OK.

According to Parrot, a downgrade to 4.10d(?) isn't possible if the kit was shipped with 4.11 already 'flashed' - that's assuming 4.10 is still available (not on Parrot's site).

So, if your kit is working OK, then leave well alone. I'll have to wait for a firmware upgrade. In the meantime I have a car kit that won't work with a 'phone that has more than a handfull of contacts.

Well :censored: off..........

That's what I heard, just didn't remeber the numbers. I have 4.10 then and it works so I see no need to change it. Not that that is much good to you of course.

I might have a copy. Dont know whether you would want to try it though?

There's a new version, 4.12, out now, supposed to fix some 6230i problems

So, do I risk it with my 100% working 4.10 kit?

Had the same problem with my 6680 - it wont automatically sinc without extra software installed.

You can also switch off the bluetooth on your phone (so phone is disconnected from the parrot handsfree profile), mark all contacts in the phone book, then send it via bluetooth to the parrot.

Or download a program from the nokia site, for the 6680, which will auto sync it.

I always update my Parrot's firmware.

That's the conclusion I came to when I thought about it a bit.
