Well it had to happen one day....the lease company want their car back! After 3 years and 140,000 miles (can you imagine 14 trips to the dealer for services  ) managed to wangle a Bora 1.8T that has 7 months left on the lease so that I can (hopefully) hang on and order a new FR in the new year.
Have to admit to being sorely tempted into a diesel if they fit the 170bhp unit into the new FR......anyone heard anything definite?
Not really had too many problems and gonna miss driving the old car but hopefully the new one will be even better :D

Only when I put my foot down in the Bora and nowt happened  just seen the reviews of the new Octavia RS and no-one seems to have a bad word to say about it. Wonder if you can have it de-badged...including the Skoda one ;) ...200bhp....£17,500.......sorely tempted now  Should leave plenty of room on the lease price for a few extras!

Yea new Octavia would be well cool. So whats the actual deal you gonna get another lease car? Or buying a new one, if so why not get the new Leon or another LCR?

New car will be a lease car - this one goes back in April next year so plenty of time to see what is about. A couple of the posts on here have said that the FR and LCR will not be out until mid to late 2006 which is no good for me as the car has to be ordered 3 months in advance
New Leon TFSi looks good but I'm still really not sure about that front end and very undecided about interior quality. Test drove an Astra SERi XP2.0 Turbo (200bhp) and that was not a bad car but seemed to be lacking in something - didnt have the "oomph" of the Leon - plus you know what Vauxhall dealerships are like for service.
Need to decide what I want. Do I go for a sensible (tax efficient) car - no wife or kids so apart from ver occasionally taking customers / colleagues out I dont need the space :D or go for something with less room and more vroom
....and yes I know, the Octavia RS has both!
