View Full Version : Idling from cold
I'm struggling to get the revs (500)up from cold start up, changed fuelling, ecu relay, been on 2 different diagnostics m/c's-no luck. every now and again there is hesitation when i put my foot down, it feels like a auto choke problem- but there isnt one as such! no one seems to be able to help. anyone out there have any ideas.
T reg 99, 2.0 8v cupra.

500 revs???? eh? very lumpy...
I had (strangely enough) a T plate 8v Cupra and never had a problem....bit bizzare....Does it have a standard induction system on it?
BTW it isn't T122 UOT is it?

Flapper,
have just changed that one at weekend, made differance to the revving of engine or at least when your pulling through the gears.
Just spoken to rsd, they recommended urselves. waiting to hear from your graham!
Thanks for your help, will probably be down soon for your expertise!

Dormouse,
Nah mate thats not me whizzing around your area, although i do need to come to the area and find a few old friends!
It has a piperx kit on, i know it will affect it ever so slightly but unfortunatly it was doing it before the tunig company added it, they couldnt help either. Basically it went it for service and never returned the same - yet for some reason they can't find a problem-incompetence!
You never had a problem, how about this list
-New abs brain, god knows how many speed sensors.
-New clutch pedal box- after they fitted a new gearbox.
-New central locking system.
Funny thing is i love the car even though it is a pain in the arse!

Flapper,
when i was at the seat garage at the weekend, they put it on their diagnostic m/c it came up with coolant temp sender-open/short cicuit- sporadic fault. the one youve mentioned. funny how its been on two other m/cs and not been picked up. what did puzzle the chap was that the coding for the ecu was all zero's- any idea why?

coding 00000 wsc 47600
the above as printed of from the diagnostic m/c!
ta for your much appreciated input.
