http://www.seatcupra.net/review_seatsportsusp.htm

id just like to point out that this 'review' is described as

'SEAT-Sport Suspension kit Mk3 Ibiza Full fitting guide & review of the SEAT-Sport approved suspension upgrade'

yet it doesnt really guide u through anything regarding how to fit new shocks

so instead i search to no avail

great reply ;)

iv read the review over and over and although fair enough it does give u alot of information, but 'I'll spare the technicalities of changing struts' doesnt really help anyone.. perhaps one could argue that if u dont know how to do this u shouldnt be attempting it...

but everyone starts somewhere

If in doubt, buy a haynes for a mk2 Ibiza - it's 99% the same

Thank you.

you deserved it :p

Good luck buddy. When doing the springs if anyone says it can be done without spring compressors DO NOT LISTEN, eyes cost a lot more.

but its good fun to watch them bounce around the garage when the angle grinder finally gets through the piston.
no need for them if just fitting springs onto stock dampers, but we all know haoe daft that is ,right kids?

i prefer the long distance version

led against the kerb with a hobnail boot on holding it down (empty road of course) use a ratchet on the top nut as far as you dare then do the last few threads with a 3ft extension tube over the end

TWANG - dont they ever fly :)

NB-dont try this at home kids

fronts.

jack the car up securely.

take your wheels off

get an air gun, or long deep necked spanner and allen key undo top mount bolt (in engine bay either side) but leave it fastened to hold the strut up

undo the 2 bolts behind the brake disc that hold the strut to the upright, then undo the top mount nut fully and remove the strut as one piece *you may need to remove calipers and disc, support the caliper do not let it dangle on its brake line!

apply spring clamps to the removed strut (x2) and then remove top mounts. slacken off spring clamps to leave the springs untensioned

fittings is reverse of removal

rears.

jack car up

remove wheels

undo bottom strut bolt

undo top strut bolt

remove strut

spring clamps yada yada yada

tis mega easy to do

but dont forget your camber and alignment afterwards

*take care, if you injure yourself dont come after me with an ambulance chaser this is advice and may or may not be correct so i accept no responsibilty if you use cheese to hold your car in the air.
