After a lot of work, I finally got my Ibiza Cupra almost the way I want it. This is what was done to it:
-Replaced K03 Turbo with K04
-Have Chip replaced for K04
-New Custom Intercooler in the front bumper by HKS (40x13x7cm)
-New Custom made Intercooler Pipes
-Modify front bumper so Intercooler will fit
-Changed Brake Calipers to Seat Sport
-Changed Brake Pads to Carbon/Kevlar Cool Carbon
-Change Brake Fluid to Super Blue racing
-Changed Suspension to Bilstein PSS9 Height and Damper Adjustable Coil Over
-Removed Center Exhaust Resonator
-Added Extra Oil Cooler (needed)
-Racing Safety Harness for Track Days.
-K&N Air Filter
I can say the car is ALMOST perfect at this point. Horsepower is about 225HP, Brakes are impresive, Suspension is awesome and not stiff at all, plus its adjustable. The car now is very stable at high speed corners, it does not bounce around like before.
Fitting the Intercooler is the hard part. First the bumper must be removed and the bottom part must be trimmed down a lot. The custom pipes with new routing must be fitted. Find an inteligent tunner with good tools and weldong equipment and it can be copied.
In short the car is completely civilized and I use it as my daily car but when you step on it its really fast in every way (Porshe or M3 fast)
I recomend ALL this to everyone.
The reason I say the car is ALMOST the way i want it is because I am going to change my chip with one from upsolute (tried one a a Golf IV with similar Mods and it rips). I got mine from Germany and its way to mellow for some reason I dont understand. I´m also waiting on a 3" Downpipe, Cat removal Pipe, and new tail pipe. When everything is installed it should be up to 248HP. Ill update this post when its ready.
I have some pictures of the engine bay, front bumper and Intercooler, I sent them to the Administrators of this forum to see if they can post them.

I am suprised that you have not got more than 225, I am picking up my K04 tonight (Unit from an S3) will take 2 days to install, then it is off to Jabbasport for a re-map. From talkng to Mike about the golf MKIV with a ko3/ko4 hybrid they have acheived about 270 with no intercooler change, standard injectors etc. Will let you guys know what happens when I get the Re-map !

Like I mentioned in my post im not happy with the chip I now have so that will be changed soon, its just too mellow. That aswell as the downpipe and cat removal should be good for about 250HP. I doubt you can get more from a KKK K04.
I think you may be confusing the K04 from KKK with the T3/T4 Hibrid from Garret. Ive heard that the Garret setup is good for about 300HP with intercooler and downpipe.
Ive tried both an Audi A3 and a Golf with 250HP and I can say is enough. Also the KKK setup is much simpler that the Garret. Who knows if I was to start all over maybe I would choose the 300HP Garret Turbo.

rriveroll,
I'd just like to bow to your greatness. What a cracking Beezer. I want one of those intercoolers on mine. It looks standard and not too lary. It just needs the SEAT logo painting on it and it'll be perfect! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif
I'm going to go away now and be jealous!

Mr GTEvo lives 2 mintues away from TDI...who specialise in Jap cars and stuff, and have an excellent relation with HKS Europe!
Soooo....he's gonna be popping by the joint to see what he can find out for us!!
Otherwise....the one from Forge Motorsport is halfway there.

Didn't Dave say the one he was looking at needed a major bumper mod? I like the one in the photo as it looks like it should be there....
Forge are based somewhere in Gloucester I think.... that's only just down the road from me, I'll have to call in for a look.
Cheers for the response, please let us know of any news...
Andy
The intercooler is not finished yet so there is nothing to see and yes it will require another front bumper.

I would too like to make farting noises.
But i have a far darker plan.
Imagine if you will, an inocent Audi RS4.
Laid bare, stipped of its nether regions and applied to the ******* son than was Cordie. That is my plan Hynrar hrnar cough cought splutter hack hack er.
I've done all the shiney things, I've explored (and lost) my license all i want is to utterly destroy Audi (Soap bar) TT's and make a lovely noise doing it.
God rest on this restless soul.........

Did you have a little drink or two last night by any chance? http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/confused.gif
Hello,
I'm really interested in your conversion. I want to upgrade too to a KO4. But some people say that TT's KO4 is different (and better) from S3's KO4.
Anyway, I'm looking forward for your results. I wish everything goes well!!!

Hi all
Sorry have been away a couple of days and havent responded. For those of you inquiring about where to get get what, here is my recomendation
K04 and Chip - about $1500 - www.upsolute.com (http://www.upsolute.com)
HKS Intercoolers - Any HKS Dealer (try Yahoo)- The one in the picture is 40x13x7cm but in fact I think that something like 60x18x7cm will fit and the brand doesnt really matter, just dont go past 7cm in thickness. Remember the Bumper must be trimmed from the inside out and install a grill mesh on it. Try www.rodmillenstore.com (http://www.rodmillenstore.com)
Custom Pipes. I went and bought a couple of platic pipes from an S3 and the rest were made by a profetional welder. I reused the first aluminum pipe as you can see from the pictures, but it was cut and bent in a diferend direction.
SEAT Sport Calipers - Any SEAT Dealer
Bilstein PSS9 - www.bilstein.de (http://www.bilstein.de)
Oil Cooler - Got it from www.tec-online.de (http://www.tec-online.de) but any oil cooler will work. Get one that taps between the oil filter and oil filter base with a little adapter so you dont have to replace any of the original pipes. Yo cant see it on the pictures but it sits right behind the SEAT loggo in the front of the car.
Hope this helps.

I am puzzled.
ComedySi mentioned that he is going to Jabba Sport to get his 'stock' chip re-mapped to produce 195hp...??
do they not replace the ECU when they do it? or can they just reprogramme the present chip to push out more power?
Is this a healthy option for the car? How much does it cost? Will my service department at my dealer notice and invalidate my warranty? http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif lol
If it isn't too expensive and I don't need anything removing or adding to the car I might try that, or then again I might consider saving for a couple of months and doing the RSD thing? lol
Let me kow about the Re-map @ Jabba though I am intrigued..!!
Cheers
