Bah, my company car is due in May so it looks like the new Cupra idea goes out of the window.
That Focus ST 3 is looking mighty tempting now...

Ditto! Even worse we are restricted by our company to a 1.8 or 2 litre engine so new Octavia RS is starting to look much better!

that's the norm now
company secretary where I work thought it'd help fuel consumption - he didn't know about my 'get the worst mpg' competition I had with people

Yeah - Our girlie's thought it would be easier if they standardised the costs per mile to the AA guidelines.
Therefore instead of working out our average cost of fuel 'v' average MPG and charging use that cost per mile for private usage, they now just say if you average fuel cost is xx then you price per mile is yy
So it no longer matters if I do 5 miles to my tank or 500 miles to a tank all I do is pay that yy for each of the 5 miles.
Easy for them to do the calculations - but probably more expensive in the long run as it doesn't hurt our wallets if we get poor MPG.

.....combined with the "find the most expensive petrol in the country" game. I currently hold the record with 108.9 per litre
crazy as usuall, everyone knows that flag ship models sell the whole range.
So why do seat have this thng of leaving it to the last minute to bring a sports model out. Imean the they took 2 yrs with the Mk4 Ibiza, even after the success of the mk3 Cupra and R, someone in the strategy department needs a kick up the ass.
I still think one of the most adventurous manufacturers of the moment are vauxhall, just look at what they have done with the range, The Dead Monaro ( very brave) the VX220, the VXR astra, the VXR Vectra and even the balmy little VXR Meriva that will be here after christmas.
I mean pics of the new shape Corsa VXR were released way before the pics of the new standard Corsa.
Come on SEAT, get with the program Dickhead, and at least get us an FR before the end of Feb next year.
They are giving Ford far to much time to get their feet back under the table. That ST at £17500 is gonna be a stormer. It seems 2.5 Turbo is the new way to go, especially seeing as all scoobies will now be 2.5 Turbo.. So fingers crossd we get a 3.2 in the Cupra

Then it would be a V6 with horrible fuel consumption and ridiculous C02 emissions though, compared with a 2.5
