I have now ordered a Miltek 2.5" exhaust for my Seat Ibiza Cupra 20vt, just before i have my ECU remap by Mike at Jabba (cant wait !!!)

- Other users of this exhaust how do you rate them ?

- I hope the standard CAT will be ok with the extra flow (any comments !!)

I have no other mods to my engine just wondering what sort of bhp / torque i will be looking at when i recieve the jabba treatment.

many thanks

mike

I had me miltek 2.5" for a week now, sports cat is on order, combined with the hurricane induction kit, it has definatly increased the power, not a lot, but there is a distinct differance, from standard.

The car pulls a lot more, and before where the car seemed to loose grip it seems to just keep pulling now, definatly also noticed it wants to spin the tires a lot more, in 1st, 2nd.

I had the air filter before the exhaust, and would say u need both to complement each other. As i found that the time i had the airfilter on its own, the standard exhaust was creating a bottle neck.

I can report back when the sports cat arrives, that should free up a bit more flow.

I run a 2.5" Miltek myself now and it did make a distinct difference. I have not dyno'd it but it "feels" much better in the mid to high rpms. Combined with a rechip and induction kit, it will feel much better.

you do realise once you get this far, many other cars will no longer cut the mustard.... What to but next,? which will give as many smiles per mile..?

Had my 2.5" Miltek exhaust fitted from the standard exhaust and all i can say is wow.

It sounds so purposeful without sounding like a boy racer (i have has the windows down and music off just listening to it) . just revving the engine and listening makes me smile.

Im in for the jabba treatment on the 16th (cant wait !!) and hope they will compliment each other

What is the price of the Hurricane induction kit ? What does it do over the standard ?

Can this be done after the remap by Jabba ?

also the Turbo inlet Pipe ?

I have spent my bank balance getting the exhaust as this was advised to be done before. Can these other mods wait and wont affect or need another remap.

Please advise

The Hurricane Induction kit costs £150. I have another batch due in shortly in Silver/Polished finish. It can be doen after, but Mike will not have mapped your car specifically for it, so although you should still achieve gains of approx 7bhp and 8lb/ft torque, they might be higher if Mike gets to map the car with all your performance bits no it. My Oettinger chipped Ibiza gained 7bhp and 8lb/ft torque, but my chip is'nt specifically mapped for my car at all.
The turbo inlet pipe could add around the same power gains as the induction kit, so once again, ideally everything on there should be on there before mapping.
There is margin or window of adjustment of sorts in the maps, which should allow some automatic compensation, without having to remap.

Hope this helps
regards
Bill

I will speak to Mike about the mapping and allowances when i go in and have it done on the 16th (not long !!!)

Then it looks i will be in touch about the induction kit.

All this talk of leurvely Miltek exhausts is making me jealous now I`ve got to spend my hard-earned on replacement suspension.

My stoopid question is...
Is 2.5" the general diameter of the pipe b4 it gets to the backbox?

(Now, be gentle with me...)

I tell you , i wish i had of waited a bit longer till my insurance went down, i have just turned 21 so i could of bought the 20VT. I own a 2.0 8v and when i read all you guys dicussing and talking about your turbos and the endless amounts of power that you can get from them, i so wish i had waited and am really jealous now!!

I am trying my hardest to pay off my £4000 loan in a year instead of 4 years so i can purchase a 20VT when i am 22 in July next year!!

Any suggestions how i can pay off such a huge amount so quickly (no i am not turning to crime before anyone starts!!) and what do you think a 20VT will go for second hand next year? Either a X or Y plate, average mileage- 30 or 40k on the clock?

What do you think?

I met up with a guy from here last night for the first time, his name is Damian, and he owns a 20VT, shiiiiiiiiiiiiiite, he took me out for a spin and it was only standard and i have driven the cupra and the cupra R, put it this way, he scared the crap out of me, i forgot driving my GTI 8V how fast the 20VT really are, the acceleration on those things feels like 0-60 in 5 seconds, hmmmmmmmm i am kind of being persuaded or put on the raod towards buying a 20VT (Although i can't bloody afford the car, insurance is ok)

His was standard so i fear to think what a chipped 210 version would be like!!

I think i might wait till next year when the price of second hand cupra's goes down and there are a few more about to buy!!

hmmm Im definatly persuaded in getting a new exhaust with race cat but dont want a loud noise as my last car made you feel sick and even gave the mrs a nose bleed cause of the vibration!!! If you had to describe it would you say its close to stock??? Or can you recomend an exhaust which is??? As the mrs would kill me if i had another loud exhaust!

I was the same as you! I was worried about it but I though sod it Ill get it!! Put it on and I thought its not that bad but after 200 miles is totally changed and its like the standard exhaust but a bit more sweet sounding. NOT LOUD OR BOYRACER ATALL! Its a sweet horny sound!:D

My local body shop deal had a few catalogues and i said that miltek and supersprint do for my car as others didn't such as scorpian etc so they phoned manufacturers direct, and both supersprint and miltek said "We have stopped production of the Cupra Exhausts due to lack of Demand and the cease in production of this model"!!!
