I dont know of any 4-2-1's for right hand drive cars - there arn't many for golfs never mind seats (ones I know of are supersprint and BMS (US firm)but both are for LHD). There are more 4-1's about (for golfs) but IMO are only useful (perhaps) for racing as the gains are all up top.
The info I have from racers is that a flowed std cast iron manifold is every bit as good as a 4-2-1 and is 1% of the hassle - many tubular manifolds for VW hit the floor and are liable to cracking as the flexible hinge bit is too far away from the engine.
Personally I wouldn't worry about it, the manifold is not a restriction but just get it tidied up.
Cheers

hes had a fair amount done to his engine and after a quick run round behind him its fair to say that itll keep the 16v boys wondering!!

Not all the 16V boys.....there are few turbo's that will keep some of the 16V boys wondering :D ....however, I would be very interested to hear if he has used a VW manifold or had one custom made.
