ok theres been loads well documented on the amd etc Vs superchips for the turbo'd motors, but does the same also apply for normally aspirated engines too? the reason being as some already know, i have a 2.0 16v cordy but badly want more power!! http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/mad.gif
also, flapper/swinney, you may know the answer to this one,
£350 for a 421 shiney new supersprint manifold,
£210 for supersprint backbox the rounded rectangular 3" single pipe.
are these prices any good? and how much difference low down, middle and top end power will it make?????

AMD are the only people to go for for 8v/16v chips.......everyone has them

My old car was a 16v cupra had it chipped by starperformance along with supersprint exhaust. The result on rolling road was 169 bhp with 148lbft. Starperformance are Scotland`s sister company for AmD. www.starperformance.co.uk (http://www.starperformance.co.uk)

got this reply from RSD today,
dont think they'll mind me posting it!
Hello,
We have a chip that will give you an extra 15 Bhp for a cost of £235 plus Vat, this works very well in combination with a sports exhaust and induction kit.
The ultimate is the Oettinger conversion..replacement cams, vernier pulley, re-map and detail work to inlet tract..gives 175bhp (180 plus with exhaust & induction kit)
£1195 plus Vat
Regards
Tony
What do you fellow 2.0 16 valvers think??

Ex-16V owner, which was tweaked by RSD. I'd recommend the AmD chip, Remus or Supersprint exhaust and Pipercross induction kit on a Cordoba, or Ibiza 16V (giving around 170bhp) You can't go wrong with that combination, as Dave GTevo will testify. It will go better and sound magnificent.
In bhp per £ terms the cams aren't worth the extra in my opinion, I couldn't justify them personally.
If you want the ultimate in 16V power then cams, head and ideally throttle bodies give serious power, but its serious money and I traded up to a 20V T which is cheaper to get big bhp from.
