Just wondering, I cant seem to get through at all. :confused:

Works fine for me. I'm in it now. Shame there's no body talking in it.

I have done, but it doesn't want to know. Was ok a few times last week, then it decided to go pete tong.
never works for me, for perhaps the last 6 months, keeps telling me 'i have not entered the session' or something - I guide on how to use would help (and apologies if I have just not seen it)

I think the java applet is shot, so that'll be why
I'll send you destructions for the mac rob (the mirc client won't run)
Nyteshades other half has written a windows client though, so that'll sort the problem longer term

Not yet, but I've been not about (plus no windoz pc to test it on just at the moment)

ah ha.. okies.
Anubis will be about later. The version I have seems to work ok, he was doing something to do with nicknames tho before it can go on general use.
I will see if i can get the log-in issue i have with it sorted out this evening. I do need 5 or 6 testers for it. Would anyone be interested?

I have sent you all PM's with the link for downloading the client. All you have to do is unzip both the files into their own directory then double click on the seat icon. Just enter in your details into the boxes and hit connect. Dont worry about the server connection error message, just click OK. Also if you click on the banner on the chat client itself it will take you to the SCN site. I hope this makes life a bit easier for you all! Thanks for the help testing guys and girls!

Can log in, but shows no users.
try logging in but using only lowercase chars and only letters and numbers for all the login details

does it use a specific port then?
IRC Servers usually have open ports in the range 6660-6669

anubis - the only thing ive found so far is that the tab order is wrong on the first screen where you enter your name.

What you need is a port forwarder proggy. This will allow you to bypass firewall protocall by using your port 80 to connect to the irc server on port 6667. job done!

Lots of places. Try portforwarding.com, they used to have a couple of them on their site. If not try google as i dont want to publicise the site on here! Send me a PM if you have no luck.

seemed to work fine for me, no bugs i found :)
would be nice to have a few functionality/appearance upgrades but its not critical and maybe a limitiation of IIRC. Like different coloured lines of text so its quick and easy to differenciate between users. The ability to minimize and max would be good too.

This was just a quick fix. Once everyone who is testing it for ma is happy i will add thinks like fonts, colours and emoticons etc.

I'm sure you have heard of a Ping request before. Well Pong is the correct responce to it. Im not gunna go into the why's and where for's as its a bit complex, so lets just say its the IRC server just seeing if you are still connected to it.
I have forwarded the PM I got from Anubis to you Mark.
