If you are talking 18" wheels on a Golf is this a MK4? eg 5 stud? The Ibiza is 4 stud wheel fitment.
Tuning wise, this has been well covered here, and a browse through the tuning etc will yield some interesting info.
Chips from AmD or RSD (Oettinger) get you to 195bhp, inlet pipe to turbo and exhaust will give a few more to get you over the 200bhp threshold.
To go with this brakes and suspension should be on the list as things to do.
I would do the suspension and brakes first as the safe way to tune the motor. Hi power and std suspension/braking is'nt a good mix.
good luck

Bill many thanks for your reply....I have been scouring the web already looking for advice etc etc and have a few ideas already but I aint going to pretend that I know about Seat'S.
mY 18'S ARE ON A mK3 Golf and it is 4 stud at the mo, they go on standard and it is lowered 30mm, I was going to keep modding it and have it converted to 5 stud and have 19's on lol!
The chip...how much are we looking at? so with a few bits and pieces we are looking at 200 brake...NICE and I thought that the one i took out the other day was pretty good standard!
What do you reckon with the brake and disc side of life? I currently have drilled and grooved front and rear discs on and they do stop you pretty well http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif
Seems that I might have to rack your brain a little bit on these things....I am very close to getting an ex SEAT UK demo....very impressed I am with it!
Cheers for the info hope to catch up with ya soon as there seems to be some decent helpful people on here!

Ex Seat UK Demo car.... errm. Check whether it has had a roll cage fitted, for any tell tale witness weld marks. It could well have been a track demo car and seriously thrashed around many UK tracks.
I have Tarox G88 disks on my 210 Ibiza and EBC pads as they come with the conversion. I don't like the EBC's personally but the disks seem fine. I am changing to Pagid Fast road pads. The disk setup is the same as a G60 VW. On my 16v Jetta I have G60 280 brakes with zimmerman cross drilled disks and Pagid Fast Road pads. They work a treat too and the disks are much cheaper. The standard brakes are said to be weak for the std motor let alone the modded one, but I think this is more a factor of the Jurid std pads than the setup as such. not sure about the brake fluid spec though, whether its dot5.1 or not.
Suspension is a must for press-on motoring.
You have a choice of chip tuners, with the main 2 being AmD and RSD. RSD's Oettinger conversion comes TUV approved and with a 3 year warranty, but does cost more than the AmD chip change. AmD do do this before and after on their rolling road however, as opposed stating no less than 195bhp according to the TUV approval from RSD.
My conversion is RSD from preference, and I can say nothing but good things about them. Very professional and keen enthusiasts with a stack of experience behind them.
hope this helps.
be careful with the ex-Seat UK car.

bill

http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif Bill I chatted to the guy at SEAT in Cheshunt and he knows John Burton and he has been to some of the track days, he says that it was just bought as a garage demo thats all so I believe him.

No, not our track days, SEAT UK held their own trackdays around the country and had a number of Ibiza Turbos with uprated brakes, roll cages etc.
These cars where thrashed to hell and back (ask one Petrolhead Paul)
They are the ones bill is talking about

Its the ex-road demo Ibiza (Flash red) you've got to worry about. They wouldn't let us loose in the caged beezers so we had to take it out on the road demo. We treated it like our bitch. Man, it was spanked.

i did'nt want to scare you...
Seat UK cars as opposed Dealer demonstrator car. Dealer demonstrator will likely go very well as it would have loosened off with all the hard demos its likely to have done.
Seat UK could possibly be one of their Seat UK Track day cars.... and hence very hard driven - a lot. Not saying its a bad car, but the price would have to be really low with Full warranty for piece of mind if I went donw that route.
Good luck
