APR is please to present our Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Brace for Leon 1.8T. The construction and advanced design techniques used in the APR strut tower bar sets it apart from all the others on the market. Utilizing technologies such as adjustable chassis preloading, lightweight carbon construction, and CNC'ed mounting brackets, our strut brace is in a class all by itself. This brace allows you to stiffen the front end of the car to improve initial turn in. This ulitmately creates a better responding vehicle.

Many braces on the market are just a bent pipe with only two mounting holes. The APR Strut Tower Brace uses the highest structural grade carbon fiber for superior strength and looks stunning as well. Also, using four mounting holes opposed to the two on most braces gives the bar extra strength. When looking for a strut tower bar don't settle for less.

APR Carbon Fiber Strut Tower Braces are available with both black or silver carbon fiber bars. If you plan on installing the brace yourself, a special tool is recommended to install the bolt inserts in the strut tower braces.

Would this make much of a difference if you already had a lower strut brace fitted? Also do you do fitting and how much would you charge to fit it?

Not cheap unfortunately, £175+vat !!

1hr to fit so £45+vat

Hard to tell wether you will notice a performance difference with your already fittted lower, gains are normally pretty marginal

Why won't it fit LCR?

@DPJ not interested anyway mate! You can't go wrong with £50 for an brand new S3 brace :)

EDIT: Never noticed the "not LCR" in title

Does look nice though!

Lower strut is a pointless IMO as the main movement in the suspenion geometry is at the top of the stuts! I noticed a definite difference when i had my S3 strut fitted!

It might fit, we've not tried but they generally dont fit the LCR - catches somewhere

Oh yea! Bonnet lifter will catch as the mount goes mostly around the strut!

There's a bloody great body section a couple of inches behind the top of the turrets! There's nothing between the bottom as close (with no lower brace)!

Apart from a big feckin engine! Oh and the standard strut thats fitted ;)

Also that great bloody body section twists and distorts! Trust me there is more movement at the top than the bottom!
