Location of MCD 36 in 1996 Cordoba SX

Location of CD-changer (also cross-posted to the Cordoba forum)

Just come off the phone to SEAT dealership, enquiring about the wiring loom connecting the SEAT 5201 stereo to the Grundig MCD 36 multichanger (which I'm about to purchase 2nd hand from a fellow cupra.net member).

They claim that the loom is factory fitted and terminates in the boot. I can't find it.

Anyone <i>with</i> the multichanger care to give me clue please?

My car is a ' 96 Cordoba SX (1.6, 100bhp), P plate.

In mine it comes out from the side panel on the drivers side of the car, beside where the seats fold and continues under the carpet. Mine changer was not supplied (previous owner nicked it?) so te cable was resting by the spare wheel well.

my changer sits mounted right beside the driverside wall in the boot, theres just enough room to hold a couple of spare cd covers between the changer and the wall. nicve and handy.:cheers:

Cool. Thanks for the info. I'll have a rummage in the boot when it finally stops raining (so, that'll be next week then ).:D
