hi,
I managed to get a genuine Seat / Momo strut brace from Listers in Coventry for £60 including fitting http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/biggrin.gif
It makes quite a difference, not as much as the subaru one did but it's definately stiffer ooo-er http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/wink.gif
What are you waiting for, go and get one !
ta,
Matt.

2001 Seat Ibiza Cupra
KKK K04 Turbo + Chip

Should any UK SEAT dealer be able to sort one of these out?

yes, they should be able to. I ordered mine from Listers in Coventry and it cost £60 including VAT. They also fitted it for nothing http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/smile.gif (takes about 10 minutes)

Am I right in assuming the strut brace is available through all Seat dealers?
Has anyone got a part number?
Cheers

Would the fitting of one of these invalidate the warranty and/or insurance ??

You will need to tell your insurance company, as allegedly a strut brace could result in higher repair costs in the event of a side impact...

Just had Seat Sport strut brace fitted to my Beezer 20VT as birthday present from other half  talk about well trained, well actually the trade off was for me to ride pillion on her new motorbike (Suzuki TL1000, huge great big ******* of a beast) ****in' shit my pants, brown trousers all the way :fart:
It was worth it though, strut brace really makes a difference when pushing hard through corners, much more stable than previous even with std suspension. For the money it's a bargain and as it's a genuine Seat product it won't affect your warranty :D
Just thought I'd air my opinion as this is my first step into the world of modifying and certainly won't be the last.
Cheers!

Nice @ gerrin the other half to buy you the brace.. Should get me a 'other half' to see what I could get for me car. hehe.
Well.. Just wondered..
you are indeed correct in saying that it is a genuine SEAT part so there is no effect upon your warranty, but..
what did you tell your insurance company? Some companies won't touch you with a barge pole if youhave a strut brace, it apparently causes much more damage if you get hit by another vehicle side on to the engine bay if you have a brace, and therefore they don't like them at all.
Some must be ok? Did you bother telling them? are you just going to risk driving with invalidated insurance? or have you found a company that don't hike up the price just for having a strut brace?
I am unsure how my insurance company is going to react to modifications to my car (Norwich Union), so I will wait until after march when I turn 25 and my insurance should come down anyway..
Ooops, hadn't thought of that
Good on ya'Scoobz, that would of passed me by otherwise.
Insurance wise I'm with Adrian Flux who I'm led to believe are mod friendly. Will call 'em today just to check all is OK. Just hope it isn't a problem.
Nice one Scoobster
Damo
I'm with Tesco and asked them about mods - said they'd take each one on its merits. Strutbrace? After checking, the guy gave me the go ahead and a reference to quote when it's fitted - no extra charge.
