I put the Blue vision ones on my LC a few months back, I noticed that the bulbs give out a whiter light although, my girlfriend said they looked the same as the OE ones :censored:

Here's a piccie of my motor with the blue vision bulbs, they're not quite as yellow as the picture makes out in real life though

The Phillips Vision plus and Osram Silver stars doe look OE but they are brighter than OE! The problem I find with Leon/Toledo lamps is that there is a sudden cut off in the beam, so it does not do much for lighting things up in the distance.

Have you tried to adjust the lamps upwards at the lamps (not switch in cabin)? OE, they are adjusted very low. I adjusted mine and found a marked improvement.

The Philips Blue vision do give a much whiter beam, heres them in action, fitted to my Almera:

the vision+ bulbs aren't supposed to be white. Even the blue visions have a very light tint. This ends up being a good thing because halogens that give you very white light like some of the extremely expensive PIAA bulbs do it at the cost of the actual light emitted to the ground.

the white light they produce fools your eyes into thinking there is more light being produced but the truth is that there's less light.

Very true! PIAA whiter than white bulbs are expensive and totally naff IMO

If you want some "proper" car lighting, then get some of these:

defo agree, and the higher the "k" rating, the worse they get!!

they leave huge "black holes" in the beam pattern, particularly bad at dusk/twilight
