Im looking at upgrading my brakes, Would it be best to go the 312mm tt etc route or would Brembo's be better. I much prefer the look of the Brmebo setup for obvious reason's. What would be the cost of a Gt kit to suit my Ibiza Tdi fr 2004 model, Cheers!

You got rid of the cupra? The brembo's are a better brake but, the TT ones are good and quite a bit cheaper. It all depends how deep your pockets are.

If you want you could also go AP fronts on 312's like MK4 Cupra. Bigger calipers than Brembo's.

Cupra has gone, replaced by Fr! House purchase meant Cupra had to go.

I see Amd are doing the Brembo kit's for £750 plus. Would the Ap one's work out dearer? And would they fit under the 16" Fr rim's? I plan to get 17's anyway.

Hold on a sec... Are these AP racing calipers that bolt up to the stock discs? 4 pot? at £200 a side? More info needed!! I'm probably completely wrong but fill me in!

they are bolt on (subject to wheels clearing them)... for 312mm 5x100 disk setup and offset. lug mounted to fixed to what they can do... and yes £200 each as I have a pair to clear... They are normally £317 each.

Come with pads also.

Bargain!

Bill what sort of clearance are we talking? More than Brembo's? Do they bolt up to the stock carriers too or are new ones supplied? I assume they will work fine on my golf? Need pics, i want these

No carriers... these are lug mounted. (intergral to caliper mount)
Clearance is very similar to Brembo requirement..

Bill, could you send any pics you have to bruce AT moraybank.com and the diagram which shows required brembo clearance. I'm guessing they will work fine on my golf. Let me know the details by email. Let me know how they perform if you have any experience with them, do they use the stock brake lines? Ta.

I dont have any decent piccies.. only ones I took with my crappy camera phone.
When I get a min I'll snap some of them.

Hoses will not be the same you will need new hoses.

Never used em, drove a mk4 cupra with them and they felt solid like brembos, but thats just being gentle with someone elses car.

clearance piccy is here> http://badger-5.com/bin/wheel-section-view.gif
