After speaking my local dealer today he has told me that he is not aware of a 3 door leon MK2 being made. Is this correct? :confused:

never was in mk1 guise and there were no plans in mk2 ???

Because there is a Golf 3DR.
there was always a Golf 3 door, and the golf got a 3.2 V6 engine and 4WD, and SEAT got none of that, no reason to think they'll change with the new Leon.
Plus it's been specifically designed so the rear doors blend to make it look coupeish, so no reason theyd make a 3 door

VAG won't allow it. It would cannibalise the Golf. Big no no :no:
I heard rumours that when VAG gave the go -ahead for the Leon MK2, they were first very scared, and the condition would be "NO 3 DOORS".

Be like making a mazda rx8 with 3 doors. Leons have sold well as 5 doors, why try fixing something which aint broke.
Do they also not make 3 door bora's?

I think it's a problem of forums and emails full stop, you can read a sentance and it can sound completely different from the way people intended :shrug: then again you could be right and I could be reading it wrong :confused: :blink:
