Possibly the worst car dealer in the world.
You really dont want me to go into why but needless to say when they take money from you its like they think they are doing you a favour.

As for them having anything in stock, your having a laugh!!!.

New door handle - "sorry mate, will have to order it".
Black touch up paint - "Sorry mate, dont know what colour black your black is and we will have to order it".
Traction control sensor - I drop it in at 9:30 and ring at 5:00 to find out whats happening "Sory mate its a warranty repair but we dont have it in stock, you'll have to bring it in again"

I would buy SEAT's for the rest of my life if they would just set up a decent dealer network. Do you ever get the feeling they pay these people to be useless to differentiate between Seat and VW/Audi?????.

i'm afraid i've had problems with them as well ( and I know someone who works there - and its no better).

Do a search on here. Wiltshires crop up a lot.

Probably a bit far from you (I use to live in Aldershot, hence the use of Wiltshires) but Huzzey's at Newbury seem OK. You might be lucky at Focus. Some get good service, some dont.

in their defense, there are two blacks.....mind you they should be able to check on the car for paintcode, or on the database

I get my Leon serviced at SMC Windsor (Datchett actually), and they seem pretty good. If you give them enough notice they'll sort out a courtesy car, otherwise I take my car down to them for 8:30 on a sat morning.

Warranty work is doen fine, and always seem to have parts in, well except for the ignition coil that I'm still waiting for ....

....which reminds me...I will NEVER go near Marshalls of Bedford ever again.
One of my coils went when I was on a course in the area, and I needed it fixed in a hurry..I rang them about 9am, on my way over to them , and asked if they had any in stock, and if so, could they swap mine over, and that it was quite urgent...

the tosser in the service dept told me they had three cars waiting ahead of me and i couldnt get my car doen till mid afternoon. Wan*er !

I ended up paying 64 for a coil from there spares dept, and fitting it on the pavement outside there premesis. Only took 5 mins - so why couldn't they have shown me some service and offered to do it for me ??

You have my sympathy with Wiltshires.... they really have to be one of the worst Seat Dealers out there... totally devoid of customer service.

I bought and have had my car serviced at Focus in Frimley and lately they have really started to get there act together.... may be worth a try for you although I have not tried there parts department yet.

VAG could really do with putting a bit more effort into the SEAT Dealerships as in my eyes it is the main weakness of the SEAT marque.

I've read the comments here with some interest as I've been using Wiltshires for service work since I bought my Toledo V5 secondhand from Great Covert.

I find I agree with the comment on customer relations, the chap on the service/parts reception could do with going on an inter-personal skills development course. Lucky for him my wife's not a feminist otherwise some of his remarks could have started a fight.

However on the positive side the mechanics are really helpfull. I've had severel problems with my car, most recently the dreaded 'pulls to LHS' problem. Kevin who I dealt with, took time and effort to discuss the problem with me and propose possible solutions. He even aranged for the Seat techncal guy to check the problem out.

I think that most dealers are not perfect. However having heard some of the horror stories concerning certain dealers Wiltshire has been getting a rough deal. :)

They've been ok with me. They've only disappointed me on their slowness in obtaining a spare key. Admittedly, I have never ordered parts from them, but I've found them a friendly bunch - apart from the parts guy who always seems to me to bepi**ed off to see you or that he has to do some work. They are a very small franchise so I can imagine that they do not have the resource or space to maintain a large spares list.

There's a German Swedish and French round the corner where you will be able to get many of the spares you may need.
