Now then fella.. (or anyone else reading this).
I am wanting to change my brake pads on my Ibiza Cupra Turbo cos they are driving me mental at low speeds (howling).
I have just been on with the workshop manager at my dealership (Trenton, Hull) and he said he has seen quite a few 'howling' Cupra's. I said to him about putting on some EBC Greenstuff pads and he agreed that was a good option and he had fitted a few sets recently for people.
He then said that SEAT wil not cover it on warranty (obviously) and told me to get the pads myself from local shop and then take them in for fitting.
I just wondered how much that sort of thing should be charged at? I have been quoted £82 for the set of pads (does that 'set' include all four pads? or just two for the fronts?) and then the garage said it will take them an hour to do the fronts and an hour to do the backs which works out at £76 in fitting costs.. Are these figures about right? or are they trying to pull a swift one and could I get it cheaper from elsewhere?
Appreciate any advice you can offer, as the squealing brakes are doing me nut in man. lol
Cheers
