Just serviced my dumpy and when i removed the piston is was a little scored and the mating surfaces (where the seal is made at the bottom of the piston) was all pitted !?! the piston and the dumpy casing :(

Is this normal??

Also i carried on with the service and replaced the dumpy to my car and it now leeks untill the pressure builds up!?! HELP!!

Do i rub the scored part on the casing down with some 2000 or leave it to bed in?

;) Cheers ;)

what did you service it with?the forge kit comes with a new piston iirc.
all that was pitted on mine was the spring and where it met the piston, everything was still smooth, was there any grease in yours when you stripped it ?
