View Full Version : Upgrade to 256mm Brakes?

HI
Whats parts would I need to upgrade from 239 http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/mad.gif discs to 256mm. http://www.seatcupra.net/forums/rolleyes.gif

Would these be standard Cordoba brakes?

Ibiza 1.4 97'

nearly everything mate, hubs, carriers ,calipers,discs(ofcourse) why not go the whole hog and get a g60 upgrade 280mm look good behind 16/17 inch wheels minimum of 15's anyway to get them in,or the easiest for a 1.4 ,drilled n grooved discs green stuff pads goodridge hoses,just done mine on a 1.816v and they are twice as good as standard and you get no fade but if you have no abs maybe a bit too much

he can sell you a kit for 225 to get it to 280mm or just the spacer braket for 75 quid & supply your own discs.........

I would check on this..
239mm disks have integral caliper carriers as part of the hub which means no simple spacer brackets can be used to move the caliper outboard. (like VW's)
256mm (or 280's) have a different hub, with a bolt on caliper carrier which can be spaced out to do 280's if you want.
worth checking this before splashing out some hard earned ££
