After some new dampers for my Mk II 8v, what are they the same as?

I was under the impression they were mkII golf front and polo 4 rear, is this correct?

Already got the ventura springs from the bilstien kit so all I need is dampers, would make it a bit easier if I knew for sure exactly what's required when phoning round for prices!

Kev, buying individual dampers is normally a load dearer than a specific kit (about £120+VAT for a billy vs £350+VAT for the whole lot inc springs)

BUT - i think it's MkIII Golf front & MkIV rear, though I wouldn't want to bet on it.

Did the other billies you had lined up fall through?

It was becoming a pain in the arse, so I figured I'd be as well spending my money on new stuff!

if you're on a budget you could try the raceland kit for the ibiza - for a 150 it is very good and i'm well chuffed now i've got cordy springs instead of biza ones!)

Other than that, the kit from a mk4 polo (late model) will fit straight on your 97+ if you're looking for a wider range of suspension

Cheers, got me some billy dampers to go on, they said mkIII front polo IV rear
