hi!

this question may have been asked before (if so please help me again)

i want to add an amp to my seat soudsytem 2 (i drive seat cordoba varo sdi signo, atleast called signo in finnland), the soudsystem is the one with integrated display for the driving computer, heater and cassete/cd)

as you know there are no RCA cabels and no remote. the Rca i can make by cutting the speaker cabels and putting these RCA converters on, but what about the remote. has anyone done this modifikation? i could also make a nothjer systmem by putting a cd payer somewhere (does not fit the dash etc) but this will be more expensive, since i spent allready my money on tuning... but i would like to be able to but some 2 way kit in the front, an amp and a sub inthe trunk, using the original system with the cd box...

plese help me!!!

i tried to ask the importer of seat in finnland, but they were to no help...they just told me not to mess with the cabels to be sure i still have the warranty...

There are alot of things you can do:
It might be better to get an amp that accepts Hi-level/Speaker inputs.
A couple of amp companies (MTX as example) have a smart engage mechanism that uses speaker level inputs and automatically turns on when the radio goes on. I think Infinity also does this with the BASSLINK. There is also a Bazooka tube that I've seen that does 100W to the sub plus has a 4x25W amp for the speakers (this is actually what I might get, just uprating the system bass a bit).
Not sure about the turn on lead on the cordoba but I am sure you can pick up the signal from an automatic antenna/antenna amplifier lead. I'm sure one of the beeza guy's has done it.
