I've looked at a Ibiza TDi 130 sport, brand new on the market I believe. I know as a Focus owner that the TDCi engine is very good, but really did fancy the new looks of the Ibiza (Newer shape with revised rear lamps etc). Has anyone got any experience of this new 130 Ibiza, or is it the same engine as in something else ??
Also, can it be chipped ?????? EVEN more power and 50mpg+ still !!

If you search on here a couple of chaps have driven it.

It's out of the Golf & should be chippable to 150+bhp

with more torque than a truck (almost)

I am picking up the TDi Sport in 12 hours or so :D

I would seriously recommend finding one to test drive - lots of fun (although never driven the focus so I cant compare them). You'll love that 3rd gear ;)

Attached is a scan from a roadtest by (a well known motor mag!) earlier this year. Below 110 mph the Ibiza gets within a second either side of a Mini Cooper S. From memory, it's definitely faster than a TDCi Focus.

Motorhouse2000 selling these for £11299 full UK spec although couldn't confirm this, not having seen one in the flesh.

0-60 in 8.4 - WOW !!!! Might have to get down to my local dealer for a drive !!!

And with a chip, even better !

Can stuff like the Cupra parts be transplanted straight over ?

I drove a chipped 110 (to 130) last august.

If you think that the 0-60 is good. just wait til you do in gear.

I pulled from 30-100 onto the M5 from a slip road with a GTi-R behind me. Pulled level at the tonne & didn't pass til the TDi literally stopped accelerating at 125.

Closest I have ever come to buying a car on the spot.

All I need to do to stop me buying a house now is to test a chipped 130.
