Are there 2 different types of ibiza cupra??

I have APR's chip for 15 days now and i don't have the cruise control yet..

Today my SEAT Force dealer said to me that maybe the cruise control will not fit to my ibiza cupra..

He said that APR told him that there are 2 different types of ibiza's and the cruise control is available only to one of them...

How can i check to which category i am?

I heard something that the one type ibiza is like the VW POLO (about the cruise control fitment)

I hope that my car will be ready for APR cruise control cause that was one of the reasons for my tuning choice.

The chip is very good that's why this Monday my friend's ibiza's ECU will travel to UK for APR's chip :)

If someone can help please do it.

I think, if you can find out your ECU number APR should be able to help you out there.

You didn't order cruise control in your dealer????,....can it be added later by installing APR chip + where did you get the swich to turn it on and off.

Please explan me a little bit since I'm also interested for cruise control - hell explain me all the details :))

Hello Surfer_d my friend :)

APR's dealer in Greece will be SEAT

So i went my car to my SEAT dealer and he sent the ECU to UK for APR's chip..

The cruise control they ordered it from SPAIN

I had my ECU chiped back in 2 days and the car is very very good..

But i have not the 95RON program only..i have valety and security code..

SO if i want to change the programs i have to fit the cruise control

But before 2 days my seat dealer said that he talked with APR and they told him that maybe the cruise control can't be fit in my car because there are 2 types of cupra ibiza.

That's why i'm asking ;)

I ll go my car at Thusday to SEAT and then i ll have the final answer..

I think that we must be informed for what kind of ibiza's the cruise control is available..

Surfer_D as for the chip,i m very pleased with APR's chip..it is really very very good.If the cruise control will fitr then i ll be happy...and if APR will have optimax prog for Ibiza cupra then i ll fly :):) :) :)

just simply plug in the 1551 or 5051 vag diag unit and enter an activation code - if accepted it will be possible to wire up

NON turbo cupra's ie UPTO 99 are not available with cruise unless non OE
