Hi I am having a little trouble fitting an amp on to my Ibiza standard head unit, I know that it has no RCAs so I connect it via the speaker cables. However that was easy but when it came to getting behind the head unit I found that I was unsure where to put the amp remote wire which tells the amp to turn on as all the slots looked the same, can some one please help me and give me a hand on how to do this, I know it is possible as I have seen it done but I can no longer get in to that web site.

if your on about the enthusiasts site - it was my guide....

The wire you need it the 3rd one along the top row of connections.

Just to be on the safe side get a 12v buld and connect one end to ground and the other to the pin and turn the ignition on and off. it should come on and go off.

By any chance if you can remember do you know what colour the wires were? if not dont worry i should be able to figure out with your previous reply

The majority of them are black unfortunately

buy a multimeter from halfords and stick it into the pins at the back (careful now)

switch the ignition on and off untill you get an 11-12volt reading

thats your remote

PS there is a good ground point in the boot, look next to the light cluster, passenger side, theres a bolt with earths already attached.
